Wiccan Moon
written by TheDerangedSage09:59 PM 11/19/04Resplendent beauty is mounted high
in the rich, black velvet night sky.
Glistening in a shimmering smile
are the waters fish in swim while
a wish is made, potent and strong.
If this were cocky, could karma be wrong?
There is one power in the Universe,
and what I see is perfect and diverse.
The manifestation of such a power
blossoms in my soul like a flower.
It is unruly and hidden deep
but is bright and plain to see.
I put myself in a position of love
and trust, waiting for faith in a flying dove.
Through a distorted mirror I stare,
this watery window my soul's glare.
Majestic and bounteous—I drink in Her entireness
as I envision her molten white excellence.
Arrow-straight to the Goddess, in faith,
I summon Her eternal strength
and place my nervous self in proposal
to the grassy earth, tranquil and formal.
Alone, I wonder to myself amidst the fish
if I could make such a wish...
to make the Moon last forever. |
