smiling and laughing

If you bothered to look closer you would see
I smile to hard and laugh for to long.
Smiling and laughing is what i do
To try and keep the pain at bay.
Smiling and laughing to stop the tears.
I’m smiling and laughing
To stop me crying a great river of fears.
I laugh when i remember how broken i am.
I smile when you treated me like shit.
I’m just smiling now to cover up the truth.
I’m just laughing now to stop the pain.
So please let me carry on and play my game. |
