remember my wish

Staring out of a broken window
looking at the Heavens above
seeing my first star of the night
I close my eyes
I make the wish
I never could have
One made many times
I remember when I was young
When you would teach me new songs
remembering how your face lit up
when you smiled when you laughed
Love was all I could give you on that cold night
When we parted when you went
To that great place above called heaven
every day I grieve because we are kept apart
I wish that you would come back
Make me feel all right again
But I know that you have gone
still I will not carry on
Maybe now all my tears have been cried
This star will hear my only wish
If I could have one wish
It would be to see you once more |
