» Poem: Forgive Yesterday
Forgive Yesterday
written by DarkAngelBlood

I reach for the person I can't have. I extend my fingers outward, but there's nobody to grasp. I walk away helpless and I guide myself aimlessly to a park bench. I see middle-aged men stide by in trench. I don't know who I am and I'm lost. I don't know what to do and it costs. It takes it's token on my brain. I can't think straight and I'm gullable to what anybody says, but I'm not really listening. My friends are communicating to each other, but I'm not there. I'm daydreaming and it's almost as if I don't care. They've been forgiven and I can't understand what it's like. He hasn't forgiven me yet, but I'd sacrifice my life. He doesn't talk to me, so I don't know what he wants. It's my mind and self conscious that he haunts. I want him desperately and I can't figure why. One time he hung up on me and tears filled my eyes. Before all I wanted was for him to let me go. Now for all the reasons he hasn't said a word I know. I'm free of the prison I was in. Now that I'm out, I've nowhere to go. He's gone from me, and I'm extremely sad. Shall I show? What happened to that friendship that lasted all hours on the phone? What happened to the days when he would come over my home? I'm not lost, and I'm not afraid. But do I really want to give up and forget about yesterday? Does he wonder like I wonder if it's ever going to work out? Does he take notice we don't do stuff anymore because we're not friends now? I'll be the last one to recieve such information. But for the time being, I guess I'll try and start a conversation.
