I’ll fight this for you**

I Hear the Thunder pound
I drown in my pain
each raindrop is a broken hope
They crash to the floor
They shatter into thousands
I hold my last hope
tight in my hand
I lost my grip it slipped
It shattered at my feet
No more hope
To keep me sane
I reached the end
I lost control
The rain turned red
my soul now dead
I willed this rain
I willed it to pour
I willed this lake to Flood
Swallow me whole
Take me down
To the place of no return
consumed my being
removed my every trace
I closed my eyes
wished this could be true
But Im still here
I’ll fight this for you
I come out of my trance
I took a glance
Realised what I had done
I’d lost control again |
