» Poem: In the Basement
In the Basement
written by TAINTEDSOULisBACK

I want a world full of sunshine,
and flowers and bright colored balloons,
but all I get is dirt and steel,
and a sky the color of doom.
I want a field that's vast and free,
and enough sky stretching across it,
for me to be me,
but I all seem to have is a basement,
with barely enough air to breathe.
Nothing I want is possible,
and no source I have is reliable,
so the vast free fields,
and the world without steel,
is too far away for me to see.
