your thoughts as we both hung up
mind racing...
"what the hell was he talking about?"
i dunno what i was thinkin
that maybe, just maybe
i could get away with telling you
over the phone
but now that we're face to face
there's no holding back
i need you to know
it wasn't my intension
for you to get caught up in this lie
but you did, and it's time
time for you to realize the truth
and ultimately, it's up to you
if this should go on...
i just didn't want
living a lie to you
that's why i'm saying something now
before my chance has past
i could have...

i should've said something before
so many signs
guiding me to what i must do
i know now what God was trying to tell me,
"Don't lie to her..."
"Be true to your word..."
"You say you love her..."
"Now it's time to show it!"
I'm listening God...
no longer will my eyes be shut
i know now what i must do
there's a lot i have to say to you
but something for now,
the basis of my explanation,
it hurts at the thought...
burns at the sight...
