Stand in the shadows

People don’t see I cry inside
I stand still hoping they notice me
I feel lost I feel alone
Have I missed a year of my life?
I have been left to cope alone
I can’t be saved
There is no light left inside of me
This evil has now devoured me.
Painful my past is
Beautiful my future will be
When I take my final sleep
I will no longer feel lost or alone
As the day turns to night
Screams change to laughter.
I move on, I am not scared
My nightmares can’t hurt me now
Can’t come and taunt me now |
