» Poem: Temporary engagement rings
Temporary engagement rings
written by Poison Ivy
09:31 PM 11/22/04
sorry, love
it wasn’t meant to be
it was only for fun
it was just a dream filled with candy lips and sweet tongues
sorry, love
it couldn’t last
it was just for now.
But now is gone and next is tragedy
I still wear your diamond ring in my sleep
and listen to that one song and weep
temporary feelings for life
and for life I thought this love would last
I’m sorry, love
but I cant do this anymore
I’m tired of longing for you
I cant have you
I knew it wouldn’t come
temporary engagement rings sparkle im the few sweet dreams that I have
I’m sorry, love
but you’re not for me
I couldn’t have you then
and I cant have you now
only in death will I see you again
and that is something I don’t have to wait for. . .
