I'm in a daze,
not knowing where everything is going
I don't know what to think
everyday, scared something
will tear us apart,
knowing we're at our weak point
paranoia is making me go insane,
and all the words I've said...
and you've said run through my mind
non-stop. this confusion
chokes me, I can barely breathe,
I hold on to when we used to be strong,
you're so weak right now,
and I'm right here,
not behind you, hiding,
making sure you go through it first,
not in front of you,
doing everything for you,
but right beside you,
taking the same slow, uneasy steps,
still trying to wipe the glass clean
to see a clear view of us,
I see two people, side by side,
hand in hand, looking into
each other's eyes, still amazed
that this is it,
I can't quite see who they are,
are they us?
is this my mind playing a dirty trick?
This glass becomes a little clearer
with each passing day,
soon enough, I'll know who they are,
I shake with fear, that it might not be us,
but whatever happens,
we're falling together,
whether you think I've
reached the ground or not,
I'm there with you,
just look beside you, and feel the hand
grasping on to yours,
hold on tight, and don't let go,
too much confusion,
but we still haven't given up,
still holding on, eyes locked on each other's.
this might be it, or not,
but at least we can say, we never gave up,
because we knew that this felt right,
is this my confusion talking?
or is this my love for you,
fighting, telling me, not to give up,
whatever it is, I'm taking that breath,
