Changing

Now I see, I have learned.
What's over between them is the fight. But between us it feels like we grew far.
Your attention is spared with me, so I look to the stars.
They are empty bodies like mine. So filled up, growing they do over time.
I'm looking for a better day, knowing nothing goes my way.
I still feel the burn of the scar, these feelings stay stuck in my heart.
Over time, this too shall pass. Do I really think this?
I tried to make everything last.
There's nothing left in this bottle, it's all gone.
It's been poured out, what is there now?
Is there anything left? All I feel somehow is regret.
Are there going to be anymore happy times, or just this things based on lies?
What is better if you don't tell me the truth or if I just walked away ignoring you?
Do you really need me or want me around? Cause I know I needed you to pick me up when I was falling down.
It seemed to always work with the right things you would say. But we fought online and so I cried. I really did, I don't lie.
And it brought such dismay.
(Whatever), I guess it's over. This brings closure.
I don't want to let go, but I have to I know.
I've thought about it for long and this situation had grown old, by myself so I'm told.
I have to give up no worries bound.
Just tell me if you need me, I'll be around. |
