Blood Shed 1

Suddenly a big boom echoed through the house. We looked around. Peter looked at me with his eyes wide. “Uh oh. This cant be happening! Whatever it is.” He exclaimed.
There was another big boom, and the sound of glass shattering. Bullets, I just knew they were bullets. “Everyone go to the basement!” I screeched. “Get down, and go to the basement.” We crawled and got to the basement door. I opened it as quick as possible, and we hurried down the steps in the pitch black. More booms erupted, and I knew it wasn’t a car shooting, but and actual person walking around the house shooting through the windows. We stayed sitting down in a corner of the basement.
“Is everyone here?” I asked whispering.
“I am.” Peter whispered.
“Me too.” Candy whispered. “Uh oh. Where’s Ashley?” A shot of fear flooded through me. I knew that something bad had happened to Ashley, I just knew that it would affect all of us.
“ASHLEY!” I shout-whispered; crossing my fingers, as we all searched the basement. We all knew though, that she wasn’t there. We all knew, but wanted to not listen to the truth.
Candy sat against the wall. “Something happened to her. It’s all our faults.” She buried her hands in her face. Then we heard sirens, the police, and probably an ambulance too. This time we’d need the ambulance. I just hoped that Ashley wasn’t dead. I got up, feeling that I needed to be the bravest one, and I turned on the lights. The basement lit up, no Ashley in sight. Just Peter and Candy against the wall, and me standing by the stairs. Peter got up, and put an arm around me. I rested my head on his arm. We said nothing, and it was just a little more comforting. The police busted down the basement door, but none of us moved. We didn’t want to face the reality of what had just happened.
