I hide myself
I hide under myself with looks
I smile.
I smile while I am crying,
I am crying inside.
I look at myself
And wish I were different.
I hide in my room,
And I read.
I read to take the pain away,
The pain of my life,
Then I dance,
And I dance and dance and dance again.
Dancing takes it all away,
I hide through anything, and everything.
It’s 6:00 once more.
Time to go and see my friends.
I grab my sweater,
I put up my hair,
I put on my fake smile,
And I walk out the door. |
