Poised
written by chaoticthoughts03:41 AM 11/28/04You can rip me open and tear me apart, You can deride the way I dress and ridicule the way I talk, You can highlight my flaws and critize my actions, You can say I'm corrupted and wrong, You can try to make me feel inferior or withdrawn, You can tell me I'm a misfit or a trouble maker against society, You can say I'm immoral or dishonest, You can say I look unstable and troubled, You can say I am reckless and rashional, You can say I'm an outsider and recluse, You can say my head is malformed and aberrant, You can say I'm a rebel, nonconformist, oddball, oddity and too eccentric. But you can never say I'm not unique, unrepeated or secluded. You can never say I'm unoriginal, or I'm not enjoyable. You can never take away my self morals or confidence. You can't say I'm wrong because who said you were right? You can't say I'm tainted because my preferences are different from yours. I understand, accept and know myself. I am not ashamed, embarassed or worried about who I am. I don't poke fun because I am comfortable with me; maybe someday you can say the same. |
