» Poem: For Once In Your Life
For Once In Your Life
written by darktinkerbell

you think you gotta live up
to the whole,
I love rock, I'm "dark"
I'm "punk" thing,
you tell everyone your life is bad
and you don't want to live anymore
when you damn well know
you're a spoiled little rich bitch
whose parents would get you anything
you think you gotta cut yourself,
cause everyone does it,
and you show it off, like it's the new trend.
somehow along the way,
you never really know how deep
those scars run, or how fake they really are,
and now you say, don't label me,
when all we do, it label each other,
we're all a bunch of hypocrites
hiding behind the label of
"I don't label myself"
hoping someone will come along
and give you the label you want them to give you
quit hiding behind the images
you put on show for everyone,
and be youself,
for once in your life
