» Poem: death winds |
death winds
written by devilchild0110:21 AM 11/28/04Autumn brings winds
That leaves dying flowers
Scattered in the mud.
Soon the world will slumber
soon I will sleep the winter away.
The strong wind
Leaves thick grey blankets
Over all that was once beautiful
the golden glow from the flowers
Has died away
The trees stand bear
branches clawing out to the sky
trying to grasp the last of the life.
Begging for mercy
Begging the death winds to blow another way
browns take over the bright greens
grey’s swoop down upon the blue’s
snow takes control
Snow so white almost heavenly
snow engulfs the dead bodies
The silence of winter is welcome
Winter hides the pain I feel
Winter allows me to hide the red
I will this winter to be cold
I need it to be ever lasting
I beg the death winds to blow my way |
