As Best I Can Be

I’m far from it.
I am no angel.
I know I don’t try as hard I could.
I know I don’t study as much as I should.
My grades aren’t as high as hers.
Why must you compare us?
I know I wasn’t the son you wanted.
I know I’m the unwanted.
I know I make you worry.
I’m really sorry.
I know I’m not the class president.
I’m not the team captain.
I’m not the leading role.
I’m just me.
As best as I can be. |
