» Poem: The Letter
The Letter
written by IceBound
03:41 PM 11/29/04
blown out of proportion
my writing of this
missing in front of me
you, with my arms left empty
i missed the touch of your embrace
if it would have only been physical pain
i would have known it was you
so i hold a piece of paper
my name on the front
when the thought of even receiving it
butterflies in my stomach, rapidly
my heart jumped at the thought
folded and bent
a piece of paper
it's your writing on it
the anticipation of what it contains
mind stunning...
wait a minute
what the hell am i waiting for?
Let's read...
