I Thank You
written by IceBound03:44 PM 11/29/04i'm almost confident
the ray of hope just grew
feels different, but good
funny how things happen the way they do
especially when you're expecting the worst
hoping for the best is all you have
i learned that not to long ago
sorry for the doubtful thoughts
laughing, now i see how stubborn i was
i wanted to enter alone
helplessly begging you to stay behind
having no effect on your heart
you stayed, right by my side
where you are now, no regrets
if i said, ï hate the feeling" it would be a lie
knowing that you're always here
bringing some relief to my heart
tonight i'd rather be in love
then back in my old ways
yes... old as in past-tense
change is constant, i know
because my mind chills at the thought
my heart is always with you
the first to even phase
the crimson cage around it
penetrated, is my heart that cold?
No? because of you
blood drips now, from icicles
slipping off, hold on a little longer
if only just for now
i know i died that night...
never to be brought back to life
you're falling with a ghost
i hope you know that
but only you can touch me
because you know i'm here
we're falling together...
when we hit the floor, only one can truly be hurt...
and i'm gonna try and break your fall
i know i can do it, you've shown me to be strong
i know i can say it, you're telling me not to be afraid
i want that feeling back, and it's coming
because of you...
I thank you |
