» Poem: His Core
His Core
written by chaoticthoughts
04:53 AM 11/30/04
Cautiously he approaches, breathing faster and heavier with every step. Blood pumping through his veins, sweat dripping from his face, body shaking uncontrolably. He doesn't know what lurks behind the door. As he reaches for the handle, it begins to turn. Thoughts of terror and desparation fill throughout his mind, his thoughts are racing of what to do. He doesn't know. The door begins to creep open, he freezes in his movements and breathing. Uncertain of what to do he frantically runs for safety. By now the door is fully ajar, and nothing seems to be there. He stands up and shrugs it off. Walking towards the door he notices its colder than the rest of the room. He backs away slowly but its too late, it got him. No one heard him scream.
