Free Me From Myself

scares me
I know not what it is capable of
and it knows not what I am capable of
the girl in the mirror looks just like me
black curly hair, pale skin,
light brown eyes, freckles,
but, I don't recognize her,
that's not me, it's only a mere
image of my physical apperance
but, this reflection, does not show
my heart, my soul, and the real
inner me. I look into this mirror
and I feel lost, and trapt,
I need someone to
free me from myself,
I'm scared of my own reflection,
scared of what is can do,
and what it stands for.
I'm trapt inside the mirror,
although I've broken this image,
no one else sees it but me,
is everyone blind?
someone help me,
free my from this reflection in the mirror
it follows me around like a guardian angel,
only it pulls me down
while a guardian angel
helps me onto my feet
please, anyone,
everyone that can hear me,
free me from myself,
before it's too late.
this reflection, shows me
doing what I have no control of,
I'm holding that knife tight
loving it, like it's my best friend.
I scream into the reflection,
telling myself to stop,
but all I could do was watch
as me...I...she cuts and cuts
deeper and deeper,
tears form as I watch, and hope
I...she... doesn't cut too deep
I see the blood, all around her
is she satisfied with herself?
am I satisfied with myself?
I look down, at my wrists
and see the same exact ones on myself
how can this be?
I broke what was needed to be broken,
is there more to that?
what am I soposed to do,
I'm so lost, I wish I knew
how to free me from myself |
