What happened to honesty?

Just to let you know, I lied
I lied to you because you lied to me
What happened to good old honesty
Most of the time I knew when you were lying
So I just pretended I believed you and tried to keep from crying
If I told you I didn’t believe your lies
Then I’d no longer be a family member in your eyes
I don’t see why I fucking care
You were the one that was never there
I hate being a part of this messed family
I want to be alone so don’t fucking touch me
My mom is gone my dads in jail
The only way of communicating with my sis is through mail
My brother hates me I hate myself I self harm
But you have brought me way more pain than I felt when I slashed my arm
Don’t hug me and say its all right
Then youd be lying and I cant make it through another sleepless night
In our family photo you cut off my head
You forgot about me gave all your attention to my sister instead
I was standing there shaking and silent
Afraid because you had gotten so violent
I wish that I could believe your lies
I wish I didn’t have to see the anger in your eyes
