What Isn't There

I don’t know what to do with my time
It seems everything I do is wrong
I can’t ever please you
Your face tells me all I need
The lines tell me of your past
And how you don’t want to talk
I try to open up to you
But you don’t give me the same response
Your sighs and um hums don’t satisfy
I need to now how you really feel
I need guidance
I need love
But that’s not what I get
I get a wall
A safe you’ve put around your heart that only you know the combinations to enter it
Our only line of communication…
Screaming
Yelling
Fighting
It all haunts my sanctuary
My only place of salvation
I have no where to hide
And no one to run to
You don’t realize this,
But I can read this all on your face
Why can’t you see it on mine?
Is it because you think you know me?
Well, your wrong
There’s so much more inside of me I just can’t wait to share
If only you would look at me and really see
Like a mother should |
