» Poem: All For You
All For You
written by twistedmind33

My life flashes before my eyes
The love we shared
The happiness that grew on the outside
The sadness within
I feel the rope cut into me
This isn’t how I expected it to end
Dark shadows call my name
It seems they’ve done this before
They snicker while I call you name
They know what I choose not to
Your love was a lie
Just like the platform that is holding me alive
I don’t care anymore
I’ll go out just like I came in
Falling
Only this time it’s away from you
I did it all for your love
To prove myself worthy of your presence
I guess I wasn’t enough
You can go on with yourself
My pain is no longer your worry
Life seems so peaceful on the other side
Everyone is as sane as sane can be
We’re all here for a reason
It’s strange how many would say you
