Down

sadness and pain down
just so it won't show
I'm swallowing it,
forcing it down to
the pit of my stomach
fake smiles and
happiness, to hide it all
if just for today,
It's been pushed down
many times, but no one
can tell, I play it off pretty well
I hate having to fake it,
just for everyone to leave me alone
but that's the only option
pushing it all down
it works until the end of the day
till I let it all out,
my anger is let out by
my fists, something I can't control
it runs in my family.
but for now, I'm pushing it down
so everyone won't crowd around me
asking, "what's wrong"
and fuckin hugging me
and I won't have to say
"leave me the fuck alone!"
so I'll push everything down
and at the end of the day
I'll let it all out
all alone,
but for the moment,
it's all being pushed down |
