Take Control

pain emitting from my eyes
anger beating in my head
blame, it pulses through my veins
i'm gonna pass out...
the only thing reminding me i'm still alive
is that coldness outside
outside this shell encasing this empty soul
a hallow soul with nothing but my heart inside
how fragile it is, easily scarred,
broken and beaten down
my heart beats for her
it longs to be next to her
they've come back to me, to her
three words repeating in my head, for her
the only reason for pushing myself further
she knows how it feels
how it feels to be rejected by society
living up to an image not created by her own hand
how it feels to not know that face in the mirror
how the mind can cloud the heart's judgements
and how the heart can be the most powerful,
the most important thing, the single thread
holding together this only pure
the only thing we both have left
someones holding the scissors, but i don't know who
and they're getting closer and closer to their goal
you see, this can't break, can't faulter
if it does, all falls through and we both die
physically? no, mentally? no...
emotionally, the only true thing in life, emotion
but enough die on the inside
i need this as much as she does
i need her as much as she needs me
we WILL make it, i know that much at least
just a little longer now
till the emotional drive takes control again |
