3 simple words

and all i want more right now
is pain, not emotional, physical
maybe a walk will wake me up
it is about 70 degrees outside
22 mile winds, i wish they could blow me away
cuz even though i'm with you now,
it doesn't seem so, like for some reason
it's not that easy, i see you even now
above the rim of my glasses, still beautiful as ever
i don't deserve it, though you say the same
only vice versa, but we both know
that we're right for each other, though it isn't clear
i thought i could say it today... i guess not...
the sign was a warning, still a gift
a gift of acceptence, to accept
what might only come shortly
but in time, an over-abundance
this 'gift' i speak of, this warning to wait
if not clear at this point in time,
it is what i fear most, Love
i don't want it to just come to me
at a spur of the moment
i want it to come, as when felt, and not demanded
is this understanding? is this pure?
is this expanding? is this obscure?
not your eyes, not your heart, but me
all i want is for us to put this aside
to not always abide by the rules given
because even now it's forming,
another wall seperating,
another needle injecting,
another word for the hope that i need most
i want to say it so bad right now...
it's like i'm lifting the weight of the world
my world, and it burns my back
hauling it around like my life depended on it
cuz it's burning, ever so slightly
in the midst of this all,
i smell the stench of burnt flesh
have i come to my destination?
is it time for the drop off?
or must i go on like this?
waking from that dream wasn't exactly easy
the light from the monitor blinding
here goes nothing... |
