» Poem: Second Thoughts
Second Thoughts
written by twistedmind33
01:33 AM 12/3/04
I stroke to rope with gentle fingers
Tortured souls call to me
I feel the Pain I am about to endure
Is it worth it?
Should I really give you the pleasure of knowing you got to me?
Images of my family and those who really cared come to me
Their pain and hurt that they didn’t stop me
Does my pain over power it all?
Can I really do this to everyone?
I hear a noise
There’s a sudden crash and a scream
They rush to me and hold me
Warm drops of moisture fall
I’m confused
But now I know
Someone cares
And for the first time, I cry
