Proving

I thought I was over you
I guess we both lied
I feel I need to see you just one more time
Then this will all be out of my mind
I can prove to you
I’m better off by myself
You wouldn’t believe who you left me to be
I’m so much deeper and so much more
Things aren’t as they were
I can’t describe it all
But life isn’t so bad
If only things were different
Maybe the real issue here isn’t you but me
Regret may be the only problem
And what could have been is the only phrase we should be thinking
Whatever the problem is at hand,
I just need to see you
And prove to you or me or whoever else
What happened, happened and things are better off this way |
