My Real Best Freind Is 6 Feet Under

Nothing would ever stand in our way
best freinds forever, we would repeat
to each other day after day
then somehow you started to change
things got out of hand
you led me to the dark side
and I willingly held your hand
I guess I should thank you for teaching me
all of these "important" things
But a piece of my life has been taken away
I'll never be the same
I cry sometimes thinking about
what I could have been
If only we had stayed the same
and hadn't slipped into sin
You changed my life forever
and I can't bring the old me back
I lost someone special
the real you, real me, are lost in the sands of time
Never to be recovered
and I don't know why
Remember when we where younger
we played dolls and hide and go seek
I would braid your hair
and you would remind me not to peek
We grew up the same way
day in, day out
but now our innocence we've somehow lost
and don't know how it came about
Where did the girl I used to know go?
She evaporated into the nothingness around
I didn't notice she had left
until I figured you out
I thought you said nothing would ever come between us
what about the promises we made
you led me to the dark side
and I willingly became a slave |
