blanket of shadows

Crying in the darkness she’s all-alone
There's no one around to save her now
shadows on the walls laugh at her
They're the only one’s to see
They’re the only one’s to know her pain
they're the ones who
could help her if they choose to.
When the shadows disappear
They leave her nothing but pain
She looks around the darkness
It over whelms her
Clovers her with a blanket of despair
She lies still under her nighttime clover
She hopes the relief of sleep
Will come to take her away from her secret hell. |
