Drugs, sex and vi-o-lence

so why do you promise me,
that things will always be ok?
Even on the rainy days...
Your sugarcoated lectures don't mean a thing,
'cause we aren't ever list-en-ing,
to you.
Your plastic smile won't get you far,
"but if you smile long enough,
you could be a star..."
lying and corruption litters the ground
even in this small, old town.
Drugs, sex, and vi-o-lence,
are on both sides of every fence.
Don't ever try to change a thing,
look at the joy this pain can bring.
Salute the middle finger to the flag
and hope you get caught,
disrespecting that tattered rag
that represents the freedom we bought. |
