A Thank You Long Overdue

For being there for me all those years ago
The one person who actually noticed something was wrong
And made me laugh when I was hurt
Maybe you don't even remember
Maybe you didn't even realize how bad it was
But I'll never forget you
The way you could always make it a little better
The only one who could take the pain
And make it temporarily disappear
And for that I'll be forever grateful
We're still friends now
And we'll stay that way forever
Even though you may not have known
What you did meant a lot to me
And without you I might not be here today
