guiding light

You dried my tears and showed me the way.
When I was scared of feeling the way I did
You comforted me and told me how great I am.
When I had no hope and was full of pain
You shared your hope and ease my pain.
When I was confused and didn’t want to live,
You helped me think and showed me
What life would be like if there was no me.
When I was trapped in this maze
You lead me out safe even when it meant you would get hurt
When all was dark and cold,
You were my guiding light your rays warmed me through.
When I die and become a star
You will know im shining just for you. |
