You're not alone

Leaning against a wall,
Staring into nothingness,
No one to catch you when you fall.
Cloudy eyes firing blanks,
Sleeves rolled down like always,
I know the familiar depressive smile,
You're not alone today.
Thousands of people are out there,
Wondering why they feel like they do,
Wondering why they're so lonely,
They're not alone - it's true.
I recognise the glances,
The slow walk well you've got forever,
You want to die I can see it,
You wont be dead today - forever.
An angel's feather masks you,
False pretence of being happy,
Wondering how long your facade will last,
Why wont anyone else see life's crappy.
There's you and I and thousands more,
You can be lonely but you're never alone,
Even if you think you have no one,
Do yourself a favour and pick up the phone.
A freindly voice to talk to,
Can do the world of good,
There's always someone unexpected,
Who's there for you like they should.
When you fall you'll be caught,
Mark my words - I'm right,
So when you cry yourself to sleep,
Remember you're not alone tonight. |
