» Poem: disillusioned
disillusioned
written by Dhirsti
08:22 AM 4/15/04
things i used to know
aren't clear anymore
and tears that didn't fall
won't stop as before
your face i knew so well
but a stranger now i see
your touch once familiar
is a stony hand to me
where has it gone?
what do i say?
when you were here i knew myself
how could that have slipped away?
what is this life?
who do i see?
in this mirror there once were two
but now there's only me
the smile that you gave
put my heart on the floor
and here i am forgetting you
what is all this for?
you're softly leaving me...
can i let go?
who do i see?
now there's ony me...
is this a love
that comes only once down my path?
i know that you'd come back again
yet should i even ask?
