Succumbed to Lust

And I've done wrong,
Tarnishing my record,
Of perfection so long...
And now I think,
I succumb to lust,
Because I need to,
Because I must...
But I don't feel guilty,
About the things I've done,
If this was a battle,
Then I know I have won...
And maybe it wasn't the best choice,
But it was the choice that I made,
Stepped into the sunshine,
From the dark, cool shade...
I've opened my eyes...
And maybe I'm mistaken,
But I think I've gained much
From that which was taken. |
