What Words Cannot Explain

But you cannot understand my pain
So I carve it into my skin
In hopes that you’ll see it and ask me to explain
Im too tired to speak
So I let you see my arm
Carved into it is the word Help
You just pretend it wasn’t self harm
Everytime I show you
You say its from the cat
You see me cleaning my cuts
You later pretend you never saw that
When will you wake up and realize
I need your help real bad
When will you stop pretending
That im happy and not sad
So I try to talk about it
But words cannot explain
I cannot tell you I have to show you
I have to show you my scars so you see my pain
Next time you see
My bleeding arm
Please don’t pretend
Its not self harm
I tried to tell you
