stand-alone

fall into the darkness
nothing to break their
Downwards fall.
Glistening bright from within dark
that seems to stare back at her.
Hate is all that fills the darkness
This girl’s heart has frozen hard
she is colder then ice
her soul broken
From all the fake promises.
Promises made promises broken.
It wasn’t always like this
There was time when there was love
In this girl’s heart.
Her heart was once as hot as a flame.
Love warmed her sprit.
But it was a tainted love
a one-way love.
The bridge the two lovers stood on broke in two.
The girl was left to stand-alone
On a broken road she didn’t know |
