Pain

your lies continue,
the black ink, running non-stop
on this unfinished book of ours
this pain is elevating as the hurt
turns into hating.
my love for you will never fade
never cease, never be forgotten
the pain is drowning me
I can feel myself let go
let the pain consume me
the cuts on my wrists
have your name all over them
the scars run deep,
and deeper still
you lied, and forgiveness?
you actually ask for forgiveness?
after all the lies, and all the pain
you've brought into my life?
will this pain ever subside?
and the black ink smears
as the pages of this book
fill up. it's coming closer to the end
this book is coming closer to the last page
the pain will still exist,
but, the pen will run out of ink
and the pages will be all filled up
and my mind will be at ease,
but my love
and the pain you've caused
will always be there,
but the book will be closed |
