mistakes

and it's a fault of your own
there's noone to blame
when you're all alone
to know that you once loved me
is all that i need
and to know i once loved you
see, i've done a good deed
time moves fast
and leaves some behind
i guess we too
happened to be blind
for when you're in love
you forget all dreams
life goes by
an eternity it seems
you give it all
much too soon
when you're lying on a bed
in someone elses room
then you start to think
when things go wrong
what can i do?
so you sit down and write a song
i'm sitting here writing this
thinking of you
i didn't know if you meant it
when you said " i love you"
all i did was lay there
knowing what i'd done wrong
but i can't go back and change things
the past is so far gone.
