flashback

like my love for you
today will stay
i've found someone new
he's gentle sweet, loving and kind
he is the one i've been waiting to find
i'm hoping that
you will take this all well
i wasn't trying to hurt you
but then you fell
you cried
then you tried
to explain it to me
fervently praying
that i would see
it wasn't a game
those words you'd been saying
and now for you
the world was weighing
and suddenly last night
you found me remaining
in your memory
you called me and said
' i love you come back'
but my feelings for you were dead
colored all black
when you said ' i need you'
it fell down my face
a tear
and then my senses returned
and i felt you so near
i shook off the feeling
hung up and arose
wiped my face
looked around
and then i froze
i was breathing so hard
i guess my heart knows...
i've missed you.
