Superman Was God

Superman was God but he lied to decieve us
now puppets are grenades and my mind was drowned
i hold my innocence on the ground
before the doves fly over and shit on our faces
i feel this religions over, Christ has escaped us
we cry so God wont fear us and we wont be replaced
but deaths not an option, we fuck to save face, we fuck to save fate
sometimes i'm a dickhead, a fuckwit to say
but i feel the evil tearing through my brain
its God, its Christ they're who i blame
no bullets, no lies just a butt ugly face
take your eyes off me God
Godot only knows where Shakespeare goes
but we're not here and we're not born
existence never was the pitifully poor
pornos and bibles are for sale
same price but on a different scale
we eat the Gods and the Gods eat our souls
getting high on fumes of our melting glow |
