» Poem: Needle and Thread To Mend
Needle and Thread To Mend
written by darktinkerbell
06:26 AM 12/15/04
my heart, broken in
a million pieces
you pick up a needle and thread
you try and mend,
what may never be mended again
I still feel the hurt,
the tears still sting my eyes
from time to time
you hold my hand
and break my heart
picking up the pieces
of my puzzle
you try so hard
to place the pieces
where they need to be
but babe, don't you see?
they don't need fixing,
they'll fall into place
there are too many pieces,
too many heartbreaks
is there enough time?
enough strength and love,
for my broken heart to mend?
promise me you'll fix it,
that it's not hopeless
promise me,
the hurt willl end,
make me these promises,
and keep them too
use this needle and
thread to mend
and promise to never break me
keep me safe
and love me forever
