» Poem: Freedom's just a memory
Freedom's just a memory
written by izzzy
07:49 AM 12/15/04
Trapped in a world you cannot see
Freedom's just a memory
Screaming for life, monotony
Freedom's just a memory
Why have these chains just bounded me,
If we are free?
Is freedom just a memory?
How can you question my sanity
If we are free?
Or is freedom just a memory?
Am I blind beyond being happy?
Can I see If I am free?
Do you know if I can see
Can I see if I am free?
I fear no change in sanctity
And you tell me
Freedom's just a memory
I fear no change in harmony
But you tell me
Freedom's just a memory
Trapped in a world you cannot see
Freedom's just a memory
Screaming for life, monotony
But freedom's just a memory

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
I originally wrote this as a song but I forgot the tune so here it is in poetic form. I have to say that I quite like this poem. It tells us that we are all trapped, no way in which to escape.
