The Change-That Night

All I did
All the things I said
For a while we were happy
Just you and me
As I wanted it, exactly
Then a momentary lapse
Everything changed
It caused what we had to collapse
I thought it would work
It would be OK
In the end I just got hurt
We crossed a line
It’s impossible to divine
I wanted you to be mine
That night changed things forever
I realise now
We’ll never be together
Maybe I’ll never learn
It still burns
To the core
(Cause now I want you more). |
