I wish I knew where we really stand
with all the lies told
I can't see that helping hand
am I blind?
the many times you made the tears
sting my eyes, why do I stay?
why do I continue this relationship?
why haven't I turned around,
and run away?
am I stupid? or is it fate
that tells me to hang on to this?
I wish I knew why you've done this
I know you said you don't mean it,
I know this will get better.....
but, when? when will my heartache stop
my feelings have been bottled up
for so long.........
that the bottle is cracking
with all the tears I hold in,
all the anger weighing it down
this bottle is breaking, my feelings are
escaping from the cracks
dripping onto the floor
I wish I could fix this, with
a simple band-aid, or glue
but I need that needle and therad
to close the wounds,
and help my heart heal,
I'm so scared, I'm at the edge
of a 50 story building
holding on by my fingertips
I'm slipping.....
about to fall to my death,
can you catch me?
the one who catches everyone else
when they fall,
somehow needs to be catched,
I was always the strong one
but now,
I'm not strong enough to hold on,
no one knows I'm falling,
no one knows but you,
I wish I knew, where my weak legs
take me in life
but all I know is,
through everything,
I know we can get through this,
we can make it, because we're trying.
