» Poem: A Love Long Gone
A Love Long Gone
written by Lothiriel
07:32 PM 12/16/04
As she stood silently weeping
her heart abreast and unwillingly sleeping
What may once have been a storm inside
lay dormant, weak and unfulfilled

She grips the cloth of a love long gone
in the sense of how it had moved on
Just moments before she felt his breath
she had not known it would be his death

It called to him, then he was gone

The broken glass, blood spatterd dirt
and she came to with little of mortal hurt
Yet now she stands as she looks down
Braving the picture, leaving the sound
What lay before her on the ground
Is the hollow of her love long gone

A tear of sadness streaked his eye
she had not wanted to see him cry
And then she sinks to lay beside him
Touched his cheek and held him fast
She wished this moment as her last
