» Poem: The Elven Mind
The Elven Mind
written by Lothiriel
07:37 PM 12/16/04
Through the trees
I hear
I know
The sound of aching
...the lusty breeze
It loves and hates
It dreams so sweet
It lures and fastens, Oh!
Yet through the trees
I could swear
I could hold
...I could dream it's sweetness forever old
It cures, it maims
It brings you back
It will never let you go
In the trees
I hear
I see
Look up to see me
I am not there
Yet I see
I pass ye in years
I am not old
I live for a moment
...the breeze ...
the sun's gold...
I live in this Land
of beauty and glee
I am this Land
for without an Elf
It would not be
