I'm Done

Ripped between 3 sides of a jagged blade
slashing me in all differant directions
One piece won't let me go
One piece sees me for all that I'm not
The last is my favorite, yet just seems to keep digging at me
until the blood of my futile hands comes close to drowning me
I'm done
I'm done
with all the hiding and blinding
with all the shame of not knowing
and the tendencies of not letting go
I pity myself
I gave the priveledge
the understanding to those that I care about
They ignore it, abuse it
Turn it around on me
I'm so damned blind I cannot see
I'm done
I'm done
with all the hiding and blinding
with all the shame of not knowing
and the fear that I'll never let go
I wash my hands of all of it |
